The Data Collection on Early Childhood Education (ECE) in Cambodia aims to assess the accessibility, quality, and effectiveness of early learning programs for children aged 3 to 5 years. The study focuses on understanding enrollment trends, teaching quality, learning environments, parental involvement, and barriers to access in both urban and rural settings. Fieldwork is conducted through structured interviews and observations with teachers, school administrators, parents, and local education officials across selected provinces. Data is collected from a representative sample of public and private preschools to ensure comprehensive coverage of the ECE landscape. The findings from this study will help policymakers, NGOs, and education stakeholders identify gaps and develop strategies to improve early childhood education services, enhance teacher training, and expand equitable access for all children in Cambodia.
